Calliope |

Calliope is an online writing center developed at the University of Antwerp. It provides a
modular platform aimed at enhancing learners’ professional writing skills in five different languages: Dutch, English, French, German, and Spanish. It supports courses in business and technical communication. The current version includes Dutch, English and French modules on:
minute taking
press releases
bad news communication
resumes and application letters
crisis communication
Unlike many other online writing centers
Calliope is genre-specific and context-specific,
it is highly interactive,
it uses a process approach to cater to different writing profiles,
it accommodates different learning styles,
and it is an instructional tool not connected to a physical writing center.

In 2007 our department started a new (Dutch) Master program together with the faculty of Arts. It is an interdisciplinary program that introduces
